Arise and Go in God's Purpose

Arise and Go In God's Purpose

This Sunday, we delved into a stirring message titled "Arise and Go In God's Purpose" at the Laborers for Christ Church. In a world so caught up in numbers, our church remains steadfast in measuring growth not by attendance, but by spiritual transformations within our congregants.

Our central scripture was Ephesians 3:10, which intertwines with the transformative story from Acts Chapter 9. This is where Saul's life took a drastic turn on the road to Damascus, becoming Paul and arising to fulfill God's purpose.

"Arise and Go"

The call to "arise and go" extends to each one of us, highlighting our need to move beyond just being saved to actively working for God. The story of Saul (later Paul) demonstrates this principle beautifully. Having been knocked down, Saul gets back up, not to continue in his old ways but to follow the path God has set for him.

Conviction and Surrender

A significant part of Sunday’s message centered on conviction and surrender. The Holy Spirit's job is to convict the world of sin, leading us to confront areas of our lives that need change. We were encouraged to welcome this conviction, surrender to God, and let Him take control.

Demonstrating God's Power

The power of God is meant to be demonstrated through us as believers. This power goes beyond resisting external forces; it empowers us to overcome internal battles as well. We discussed how our actions and decisions in the face of adversity can manifest the power of God.

Ministry of Deliverance

A key component of our sermon was the ministry of deliverance. Jesus came to set captives free, casting out demons and healing the sick. This ministry, often neglected, is an integral part of our calling as followers of Christ. As believers, we are tasked not just with making disciples but also with standing against the principalities of darkness.

Living in God's Purpose

The message culminated in a call to actively live in God's purpose, encouraging us to be bold and confident in carrying out God's assignment wherever we find ourselves. We were reminded that we're all seated in heavenly places with Christ, and wherever we go, we're to function in alignment with His purpose.

Remember, in our own strength, we will fail. But when we rely on the Holy Spirit, we step into a life of purpose, embracing God's call to "Arise and Go."

We look forward to seeing you next Sunday, where we will continue to explore the depths of God's word and His purpose for our lives.
