We Stand With Israel

Pray for Israel…

There are dozens of Scriptures where God says that we should pray for the peace of Israel. In Psalm 122:6 it says, “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May those who love you be secure." Not only does this say that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and by extension, Israel, we read that “those who love you [will] be secure." This is a clear signal that God would be pleased that we pray for Israel’s peace and safety because God is not giving up on Israel (Rom 10:1).

In the New Testament, Paul prayed for Israel’s salvation, saying, “Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved" (Rom 10:1). If Paul is telling the church that his heart’s desire is to pray for Israel and that “they may be saved" that should clearly be our prayer for them also. Believers today are grafted into the natural olive tree – described as ethnic Israel – for we are “fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household" (Eph. 2:19). Romans 11:24 is clear about this: “After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree.

1. PRAY FOR PROTECTION

Pray for the protection of Jews at home and abroad as antisemitism

and terrorism increases in the United States and the world. Pray for

the strength to stand in the face of evil they continually endure.

2. PRAY FOR AN END TO ANTISEMITISM AND TERRORISM

Pray for God’s supernatural safety, peace, and protection to guard

Israel and all its people from terrorism, vandalism, and the forces of

evil at work around the world. (Gen. 12:3, Ps. 91:1-16, Zech. 2:4-5)

3. PRAY FOR RESTORATION, HEALING, AND REDEMPTION

Pray for restoration and healing in the hearts and lives of those who

have lost loved ones because of the Holocaust, October 7th, terrorist

attacks, and numerous wars. (Jer. 30:17, Amos 9:14-15, Jer. 33:6)

Pray for God’s promised redemption to come to the Jewish people and

for His light and truth to shine upon them. (Is. 59:20, Is. 60:1, Rom.

11:12)

4. PRAY FOR COURAGEOUS GODLY ADVOCATES

Pray for God to raise up vigilant Christian “Watchmen” like yourself,

around the world who will stay informed of the current situation,

engage in intercession, and boldly sound the alarm in their nations on

behalf of Israel. Pray for nations to arise who will stand in support of

Israel. (Is. 40:1-2, Is. 62:6-7, Zech. 8:20-23, Zech. 14:16)
